Blogs in Classrooms

Blogs can be a very useful tool in classrooms today. They provide an easy and quick way for students to post homework, ask other students questions, explore the work of other students, and complete their homework in an environmentally friendly way. :)
Today's students are wired differently than the students of the past because of their exposure to technology. The blog is an exciting way for teachers to incorporate traditional homework assignments with the advanced technology that students are used to now. I think students will be more excited and eager to finish homework assignments on a blog because they see the teacher making an effort to incorporate their tech-savvy world with traditional teaching styles.
In my classroom, I can post homework assignments, reading materials, useful educational websites, and answers to any questions my students might have. On the other hand, students can post questions, completed homework assignments, concerns, or any discoveries they may have found to be useful.
